Hi, I'm Gurbani - a Peer Support Worker at Foundry Sea to Sky and I use she/her pronouns. I was born in Delhi in India, and this is my 5th year living on the beautiful unceded territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) people. I love living and learning something new here everyday.
I graduated from Quest this past April and recently started working with Foundry where my fellow peer support worker, Ali, and I work to facilitate fun programs for youth ages 12-24!
Apart from programs we are also here to be a friend or brainstorming buddy on a rainy day (we know we are going to have plenty of those). You can find us as at Wednesday walk-ins, Youth Night, Youth Collective, and soon at the Foundry center once it opens! If you have any programs you want to see that aren’t on this list, or have any questions, reach out to us and let us know!
Outside work I am usually hiking, eating at Taka Ramen, exploring a city, learning Aikido, or in pyjamas watching David Attenborough documentaries.
I am excited to be in such a diverse and active community and look forward to making spaces more inclusive with and for you!
Much love <3
