Your Connection with Foundry Sea to Sky: I am one of the co-chairs of the Foundry Youth Advisory Committee and am also on the Foundry Provincial Youth Advisory Committee. I have helped with fundraising for the new centre and planning the interior design of the centre.
Why does Foundry Sea to Sky matter to you?
Foundry Sea to Sky matters to me because it will be a place for youth in the community to belong and a place where they can safely express themselves. I am excited about youth having access to counsellors and valuable resources. Mental well-being is super important, especially for today’s youth. I have several friends who have struggled with mental health and I hope the new Foundry centre will become a valuable community space for individuals who need support.
How do you envision Foundry Sea to Sky making an impact in our community?
I envision Foundry Sea to Sky making an impact in my community by providing services that encourage mental well-being and providing a safe space for youth to hang out. I can see there being several events occurring at the Foundry centre and make youth in our community have a greater sense of belonging and inclusivity.
