Sienna's Story

Your Connection with Foundry Sea to Sky: SSCS Program Support Worker (Summer posting)

How do you envision Foundry Sea to Sky making an impact in the community?  I think there are definitely a lot of mental health problems kind of throughout the community. I think people have a lot of trouble reaching out for help as well, and kind of knowing where to go. Which is why Foundry is going to be so good. I think even kind of just finding productive things to do with their time is also probably pretty big thing.

How will Foundry Sea to Sky benefit the community?  Understanding good versus bad mental health and how everyone has mental health and needs to take care of it. Learning to moderate yourself and to take care of your mental health is something Foundry Sea to Sky can help with.  Hopefully creating a solid understanding of mental health and self care in our community will lead to healthier adults as people learn and grow.
It will also be so helpful to have all of the services available in one place. It will be so good to have that one place where finally people know where to go. It will be so nice to be able to just say “Oh, this is where I go…this is where I do it.” I’m really excited for that.
