​VCH Sea to Sky Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Team

Access to Vancouver Coastal Health Sea to Sky Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Team support is available during walk-in time or by referral. Check the Foundry Walk-in schedule for updated times or contact VCH intake for referral.

Hospital Liaison
The VCH Hospital Liaison supports young people who have been referred following discharge from hospital or emergency services related to mental health or substance use concerns. The Hospital Liaison ensures that clients are connected to the services they need.

Concurrent Disorder Clinician
The VCH Concurrent Disorders Clinicians provide individual and group-based
counseling and case management services for youth with substance use or substance
use and mental health concerns. Clinicians meet with youth through referral and also
during walk-in hours at the Foundry, providing office based and outreach support to
the community and also within the local schools.

VCH Youth Case Coordinator Nurse
The VCH Youth Case Coordinator Nurse provides case management support services
to youth whose primary presenting concern is that of a mental health, substance use or
concurrent disorder that would benefit from ongoing connection to the interdisciplinary
team. This referral-based service provides office based and outreach support services.

VCH Youth Psychiatry
VCH Youth Psychiatry provides consultation, assessment, diagnosis and treatment
recommendations for youth aged 12-24 who are supported by the VCH Youth Mental
Health & Substance Use Team. Referrals to this specialist service must be via a
Physician and are provided by appointment only.
